Adieu Ushuaia, now time to take the 12-hour bus to Punta Arenas in Chile from where we boarded this ferry to Porvenir across the Magellan Straits (nice work Ferdinand). Lonely Planet's rather discouraging description says "Nothing happens in Porvenir...a place lost in time". There were no other tourists or backpackers on the ferry and we stood on the deck to enjoy the breeze and were treated to a show of Commerson dolphins leaping alongside the boat.
Blazing a trail as usual girlies - I guess thats why they say its a lonely planet, but they're wrong, you're there!
